Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Duel processes, why it is used, and the choices available to players.

Effective and last updated: July 29, 2026

1. Who we are and what this covers

Frame Sixty Labs LLC (“Frame Sixty,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes Duel: 8 Ball Pool (“Duel”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Duel iPhone and iPad app, our website at duel8ballpool.com, and support communications relating to Duel.

Duel does not require a separate Frame Sixty account. Apple manages App Store purchases, iCloud, and Game Center under your Apple Account and Apple's own privacy terms.

3. On-device storage and private iCloud sync

Duel stores its primary signed game save on your device. It also uses device storage such as UserDefaults and Keychain for preferences, synchronization checkpoints, save-integrity material, and bounded transaction records.

When iCloud is available, Duel may save an encrypted or signed economy vault in your private CloudKit database so progress can be restored or reconciled across your devices. Apple operates iCloud and CloudKit. You can manage iCloud access and stored app data in your device's Apple Account and iCloud settings. If iCloud is unavailable, Duel can continue with local-only progress.

4. Analytics

Duel uses TelemetryDeck, provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH, for app analytics. We send the app events and limited event properties described above. TelemetryDeck states that its app SDK uses an anonymized per-install identifier, rounds timestamps, includes app/device metadata, does not store IP addresses, and does not use cookies or persistent identifiers traceable to an individual.

Analytics is used to understand aggregate behavior and improve the product. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, Game Center display names, message contents, or precise location to TelemetryDeck.

Learn more in TelemetryDeck's Privacy Policy and Privacy FAQ.

5. Optional rewarded ads and privacy choices

Duel uses Google's User Messaging Platform (“UMP”) to determine whether a consent or privacy-options message is required. The Google Mobile Ads SDK is not started and no ad is requested until UMP reports that ads may be requested. Rewarded ads are optional.

Duel configures Google Mobile Ads for non-personalized advertising and disables Google's publisher first-party identifier. Duel does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. These settings do not mean that no advertising data is processed: Google states that its SDK may process IP-derived general location, device identifiers, diagnostics, performance data, ad data, and product interactions for ad delivery, fraud prevention, analytics, and related purposes.

Where required, Settings includes a Privacy Choices action that opens Google's privacy-options form. If consent or compliant ad service is unavailable, the rewarded-ad option is unavailable and you can continue using the rest of the game.

See Google's Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads data disclosures.

6. When information is shared

We disclose information only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Apple: App Store, StoreKit, Game Center, iCloud, CloudKit, and platform diagnostics.
  • Google: UMP consent management, optional rewarded ads, reward verification, ad measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
  • TelemetryDeck: privacy-focused app analytics.
  • Cloudflare and infrastructure providers: website delivery, remote configuration, security, and operational logs.
  • Authorities or transaction parties: when required by law, to protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising technology may be treated as “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or “cross-context behavioral advertising” under some laws even when ads are configured as non-personalized. Use the in-app Privacy Choices control when it is available, or contact us for assistance.

7. Retention

  • Local saves and preferences remain until they are reset, removed by the app, or deleted with the app, subject to data retained in Keychain or iCloud.
  • Private CloudKit data remains in your iCloud account until it is replaced or deleted through the app or your iCloud controls.
  • Purchase and entitlement records are kept as needed to deliver and restore purchases, prevent duplicate grants, address revocations, and meet legal obligations.
  • Analytics, advertising, consent, security, and support records are retained under the applicable provider's policies and for only as long as reasonably needed for their stated purposes.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Manage Google consent choices through the in-app Privacy Choices action when UMP says it is required.
  • Manage Game Center and iCloud in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
  • Delete local app data by using available reset controls or deleting the app. Keychain and iCloud data may require separate device or iCloud management.
  • Contact privacy@duel8ballpool.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or an appeal where your law provides those rights.

Because Duel has no separate account and some analytics data is anonymized, we may be unable to identify or retrieve information that is not reasonably linkable to you. We may need to verify a request before acting on it. You may also have the right to contact your local data-protection authority.

9. Children

Duel is not directed to children under 13 and is not offered as a Kids Category app. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without legally required permission. Parents or guardians who believe a child provided personal information should contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including signed local saves, bounded transaction records, Apple's private CloudKit database, encrypted HTTPS connections, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Frame Sixty and its providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, transfers are made using recognized legal safeguards. Provider locations and practices are described in their respective privacy notices.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app, vendors, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through the App Store where appropriate.
